…It’s not a Wise Goose programme but I can highly recommend it, it has a similar ‘feel’ to the rbp/amsr. It was created by a colleague of mine,  Jonathan Gosling, founder of the One Planet MBA at Exeter University, brings together managers from around the world.”

One Planet Leadership: Bridging Global Tensions in Business and Society

Businesses today face growing tensions between meeting the needs of immediate stakeholders (investors, customers, employees) and addressing the broader impacts of their actions—on future generations and distant ecosystems. The SDGs offer guidance, but priorities often conflict, and there are no easy answers for leaders.

Despite efforts to promote inclusivity, many businesses (and business schools) have reduced opportunities for meaningful cross-cultural interaction, leading to a rise in isolation and “othering” of outsiders. This trend can make leaders more comfortable but limits their ability to navigate complex global challenges.

Similarly, INGOs and public organizations are grappling with polarizing global politics and the shift towards localization, which challenges traditional hierarchies and expertise. Trust in institutions is eroding, emphasizing the need for leaders to listen, understand, and respond wisely.

Our One Planet Leadership program brings together managers from around the world to explore the real-world challenges of taking responsibility and exercising authority in diverse cultural and social contexts. This program is designed as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunity, offering participants the tools and insights to navigate these tensions and lead with greater global awareness, empathy, and integrity.

Join us to deepen your leadership capacity, engage with global perspectives, and build a more sustainable future.
