Summary

Where we’re heading

ASP is growing up. We’re moving from a collection of individual changemakers into a change-making community. That means being less of an events provider and more of a companion for the journeys you’re already on, personally and in community.

None of this is set in stone. As always, we’re staying true to our commitment to ‘sense and respond’.

Four streams

We’ve mapped our recent events against the four proposed streams, and they fit. That tells us the framework describes what we already do well. Now we can be more conscious about it, and spot the gaps.

Expanding the Possible: outside provocateurs and inner wisdom that stretch what feels possible. Coming up: our session with the NEB in November.

Skill Development & Wholeness: practical tools, alongside the inner development that makes them work. For example: Danu Poyner’s “The Work That Brings You Alive Hasn’t Learned to Pay You — Yet”.

Testing, Translating & Embodying: where ideas meet real life. The home of Action Research and Earth Conversations, guided by four questions: What happens when we try this? What does it mean? How do we live it? How do we see the needle moving? For example: Alan Raw’s Space Race provocation, and Theresa Sansome’s Embracing the Paradox.

Community Weaving: shining a light on what you’re already doing in the world, through spotlight sessions. For example: the Offers & Needs Market.

Where we’ve landed

This is a starting point, and nothing is set in stone yet, so it will keep evolving as we do.

How you can be part of it

This is the first big step towards an ASP that’s run by members, for members. Here’s how to step in:

Bring an idea. It doesn’t need to be a whole programme. One event you’d love to put on is plenty. The team is here to help you bring it to life.

Tell us your ideal timeframes. We’re spread across the UK, Europe, Africa, North America and India. Which of these (UK time) work for you? (1) 10–12; (2) 12–14; (3) 14–17; (4)17–19; (5) 19–21. Just reply with your numbers.

Add your thoughts. If something came to you after the call, or you couldn’t be there, email any of us. We’d love to hear it.

Catch up. The recording is on its way, and we’ll share it as soon as it’s ready.

As Julia said this was a discussion with love and healing at its core – something that is ASP’s USP. This is not just about how to run our events, but about us all working together – for each other, for the planet and beyond.

Thank you for the care, commitment and passion everyone brought to this discussion along the way. The journey together continues, evolves and expands!
