I’m Katherine Mora, a Fractional CTO and founder of Amanzi.IO, helping businesses navigate technology with clarity and purpose.

I grew up in Costa Rica, where nature isn’t a backdrop, it’s part of who you are. That connection has shaped how I see everything, including technology. I believe the best solutions work like healthy ecosystems: balanced, adaptive, and designed to sustain rather than extract.

Over 21 years, I’ve worked across startups, scaleups, and global organisations, including S&P 500 and FTSE 100 companies, in the US, Europe, and Latin America. My experience spans the circular economy, education, communications, food, fashion, and beyond. But what drives me isn’t the technology itself, it’s what it can enable. I’m drawn to work that empowers people, supports businesses to thrive sustainably, and creates genuine, lasting impact.

Today, my focus is on two areas:

  • Fractional CTO and advisory work, helping businesses align technology with strategy;
  • And my 1:1 executive AI training programme, which equips senior leaders to make confident decisions and lead effectively through the transformation that AI is bringing to every industry.

My approach is rooted in simplicity. Technology can feel overwhelming, especially for leaders who aren’t from technical backgrounds. I translate complexity into clarity, helping people move forward without the jargon or the fear. I’ve seen too many businesses held back by technology that was built to impress rather than to serve. I want to change that.

I’m also passionate about creating more opportunities for women in tech, breaking down barriers and proving that this industry belongs to everyone.

Increasingly, my work centres on how technology can be a force for good: supporting climate solutions, ethical AI, financial inclusion, and accessibility. I believe that by making the complex simple, we can break mental barriers and help more people harness technology to protect the planet and amplify what matters.

I’m curious, optimistic, and always learning. I love languages, sport, being outdoors, and conversations that go beyond the surface.
