I am in ASP to share experiences and ideas on how to make our world freer, fairer, and sustainable beyond just environmental equity.“

Hello, my name is Oke Epia. A strong passion for social good has been a driving force in my professional life. With over twenty years of expertise in public policy, media relations, and public communication, I have recently turned my attention to sustainability and climate action. This shift has led me to founded SOStainability in the UK, a platform aimed at fostering global accountability on sustainability and climate change.
I previously founded OrderPaper, a social enterprise and think tank that provides public policy advisory and advocacy, parliamentary-related consultancy, and allied services for citizens, corporations, governments, and non-governmental organisations in Nigeria. Over time, my work has focused extensively on natural resource governance, especially reforms in the country’s extractive sector. My background and exposure to the impacts of oil extraction and unfairness in host community beneficiation powered my interest in sustainability and climate change.
On the global scene, the control of the supply chain of vital minerals, crucial to the energy transition, has become the new frontier of global geopolitics. This realpolitik, however, is exacerbating the inequities and inequalities of the north-south divide, with climate justice falling behind. It is my firm belief that advocacy in this context must be driven by the urgent demand for accountability from citizens, companies, and governments. I am, therefore, in the ASP to share experiences and ideas on how to make our world freer, fairer, and sustainable beyond just environmental equity. I am also keen to explore opportunities in sustainability consulting, as I believe that social entrepreneurship can only thrive when it is economically viable, and I see great potential for sustainability to be profitable in both tangible and intangible forms.
On a personal note, I am deeply family-oriented and strongly believe in the power of community action to drive positive change in society. This is a driving force in my professional endeavours and inspires me to work towards a more sustainable and just world. I believe the ASP is a platform that propels these values, and I look forward to mutually rewarding relationships.
