“To see beyond what despair sees,
to move from the feeling toward the possibility,
calls for things we have in abundance: love, imagination,
and a willingness to simply tend the world as best we can,
without guarantee of success

–Ayana Elizabeth Johnson

Hi, I’m Eleanor, Education & Skills Manager at Change Agents UK and climate educator/space holder.

Since studying BSc Environmental Science, I spent a few years working in the Higher Education sector, working to embed sustainability into areas like curriculum, research, extra-curricular engagement, biodiversity and of course measuring and reducing emissions. It was a great intergenerational space to create the cultural and operational shifts we need to see.

I’m very much a values-driven person which is why I love working at Change Agents UK. Within this job I’m lucky to host workshops and training for so many inspiring people and organisations to connect with, learn from and collaborate with. We also support career seekers and changers through our many skills- and career-building programmes.

To achieve a low-carbon, equitable and resilient future we don’t just need technology and infrastructure: we need to approach it from a cultural and even spiritual lens. I facilitate from a people-focused, interconnected and co-creative direction to harness connection: to ourselves, to other humans, to the rest of the natural world.

My sustainability approach is a blend of head, hearts, and hands: providing the knowledge, developing the skills and recognising our values/motivation.

I’m a certified Carbon Literacy Trainer; facilitator of Climate Fresk, Biodiversity Collage, Conscious Evolution Collage; and lead for our CAUK education programmes like the Sustainability Leadership Skills Programme and Skills Bootcamp for Sustainability & Environmental Management. I’m always happy to connect with anyone interested in climate education or sustainability-minded personal development (or something else altogether!).
