Using the power of storytelling to form strong connections. Join us for a storytelling circle with Doron Perel, founder of Dodo Reborn.
In this session we will discuss how storytelling can create professional connections, where we’ll examine the connection between our personal story and the company or career we are building. We will discover how our brain works when we share authentic stories, and how it impacts listeners.
Doron Perel will be leading and facilitating this storytelling circle, sharing his story and encouraging everyone to tell their own.
The main goals of this session are:
- Giving participants a platform where they can share their brand story, and get feedback from others.
- Experiencing how authentic storytelling can truly form a connection with their audience.
- Understanding the effects of the Oxytocin hormone when telling a personal story, and how it effects an audience emotionally.
- Discovering how forming a connection through storytelling makes it easier to network.
This event will last between 60-90 minutes, depending on the number of participants and the depth of sharing stories, and there will be a chance to provide feedback and thoughts after the session.
About Doron Perel:
Doron is the founder of Dodo Reborn, a storytelling and public speaking training platform designed to help social impact leaders, purpose-driven entrepreneurs, and changemakers overcome stage fright, craft compelling narratives, and communicate with confidence.
“Deciding to become a storyteller is not something that I chose – it was an emotional need to express myself after my father died when I was 15 years old. This place of pain sparked the storyteller inside of me. I wrote rap songs, poems, short stories, and to overcome my stage fright I performed as a rapper and singer, then later on I became a tour-guide for international groups. Being a tour guide and performer taught me how to speak in front of a crowd and connect to my audience, while being a writer taught me the structure of storytelling.
After a few years as a tour guide, I decided to master business school, where I learnt about brand storytelling, and how to connect the business aspect to storytelling. After creating a few ventures that didn’t really see the light of day, I wanted to step back and give others a platform. I created Roses Out Of Concrete, a Youtube channel where I upload short documentaries of various artists, working as a one man production crew. Now I have over a decade of experience in storytelling, as writer, performer, and tour-guide, as well as studying and being part of different communities.”
Doron’s experience in storytelling drove him to create Dodo Reborn, and his mission is to guide others in finding their authentic voice and learn how to tell powerful stories that form connections.
