I’m passionate about human rights and empowering people less fortunate than myself, particularly young people, to access quality education and employment opportunities. I also believe many business objectives can be achieved through strategic, win-win-win partnerships with community organisations.

Specialising in social impact communications, I am director of dDigital, consulting to corporates helping them to achieve their purpose, while balancing their impacts on people and the planet:

– bringing the values of a business to life;
– attracting and retaining talented, engaged employees;
– developing empathetic leaders;
– connecting with clients and potential clients on a human level; and
– nurturing trust and excellent public relations.

I am a trained B Leader and hold a certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership and in MBA Essentials from the London School of Economics and Political Science. I also sit on the board of the Diversity Trust, as a non-executive director.

Prior to this, I headed up Social Investment CSR for international bank and asset manager, Investec Bank plc, for 5.5 years. There I built and led the team to shape strategy, develop, market and report on multiple-award-winning community programmes. I was the co-head of the Corporate Sustainability division and invited to sit on the employee-led Gender Diversity Steering Committee.

Born and bred in South Africa, I obtained her LLB from the University of Cape Town, and practised law advising corporate, private equity and banking and finance clients for Webber Wentzel Attorneys, affiliated with Linklaters, before settling in London and, more recently, Somerset.
