Hi, I’m Simon, a science communicator, climate activist and organiser.

I work for the community project Climate Action Leeds, helping move the city towards a zero carbon, nature friendly and socially just future. We recently set up the innovative space Imagine Leeds: the climate action hub, as a hive of activity for the environmental justice movement in Leeds. You can read more about Imagine Leeds in our blog where we outline our needs for a new premises in Leeds.

Before working for Climate Action Leeds I worked for the University of Leeds for nearly 7 years, in the press office and for various climate projects such as Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission.

I enjoy making podcasts for Climactic, attending protests and demonstrations, and attending sustainability events across the city. In my spare time, you’ll find me at gigs, football matches, walking in my local woods, reading books, or pottering in my garden.

I’m a natural networker, and enjoy linking up people with common interests, and finding synergies between projects and organisations. I am currently working part-time (which is great to be fair), but that means I am open to ideas for work.
