Hi there, I am the Sustainability Officer for Bournemouth and Poole College. I am currently working hard on my MSc in Green Economy at Bournemouth University where I’ve taken a keen interest in the social equity of vulnerable communities, particularly those within the supply chain industry.

My work at Bournemouth and Poole College involves introducing sustainability into the curriculum, carbon finance, waste management, student engagement, sustainable development with emphasis of adopting green native vegetation to bolster species diversity and abundance.  I am also aiming to reduce the carbon emissions emitted by the College and seek to form long-lasting and meaningful partnerships with the local community in order to create a greater environmental impact.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and foraging, as well as the circus flow arts which generally involve lots of fire and lots of fun.  I enjoy learning too, as I am currently learning EU Sustainable Taxonomy laws, as well as relearning French and learning German. I’m also an avid gardener and have adopted permacultural practices where suitable and beneficial.

I am currently aiming to reach higher accreditation with different environmental and sustainable standards to fully understand the depth of the complexity of sustainability science.
