This perfectly captures how I feel joining this wonderfully diverse association. As a newcomer to sustainability, I bring a wealth of enthusiasm and hope to the table, sparkled with an analytical eye in operations.
In today’s climate, upholding these values can be challenging, but the ASP reminds me that there’s a world of amazing individuals and innovative ideas making a difference.
Starting out as a young woman from East Germany in the corporate world, I was driven by a strong belief that people should always come first. This conviction led me down a path of exploring different career opportunities, searching for a place where human-centric values were truly prioritized. Over time, it became clear that people’s happiness and well-being are inseparable from the world around them.
A cocktail of events between Covid, me creating a family and climate change urgency made me review my priorities and led me towards sustainability—a field where the collective efforts of the many, not just the few, can make a lasting impact. I’m convinced that operations plays a crucial role in turning these hopes into reality, driving change within companies and making sustainable practices the new norm.
