ASP welcomes our alliance with Business Declares, a not for profit business network (of around 140 businesses from big names like Financial Times, Triodos Bank, Cafe Direct through to a whole host of small businesses and BCorps) with the purpose of inspiring, encouraging and accelerating action within businesses to address the climate, ecological and social emergency – which they call the polycrisis.
About Business Declares
Our culture and ethos is really all about being a critical friend to our members, where we are straight talking and at times provocative but within a safe space which is authentic and non-judgemental.
Our culture is also about partnerships and collaborating with other companies, networks and movements championing brilliant work done by others such as stop ecocide, client earth, Climate And Nature Bill.
We offer three things;
- We offer transformational support whereby members can share and access good practice across our community and beyond – for example are bi monthly knowledge exchanges, Freskival sessions, digital toolkit
- We convene discussions and events on emerging and often provocative topics which are vital for the business world to engage with – examples like degrowth and business activism
- We run our own direct action campaigns – such as the Queue for climate (which made its way to No10 and House of Commons) and nature last year and amplify the campaigns of others such as the Big One, organised by XR and MMMM’s campaigns
We are entirely donation based and free to join for those businesses
- who are excited by our culture and what we offer
- are driven to sign up and act on specific commitments focused on the climate, ecological and social emergency; and
- want to be part of a powerful and cohesive network – which both seeks to challenge itself and the business sector as a whole
