I am a jack of many trades, but the thing I love most is bringing them together to create solutions to all kinds of problems.

Along with a corporate career in data management, business analysis and project management, I have also spent time teaching (IT to working mums, everything to small children, and English as a Foreign Language to business clients in South America), and I’m now moving into non-profit strategic management through volunteering for a range of local and international charities and CICs. I am helping leaders to scale their impact through clearer ambition-setting, and by identifying the *right* work on people, processes and technology.

My sustainability practices are a work in progress, and my current project is exploring people’s personal journeys on this path. I’m intrigued by how different people have come to their positions on this topic:

What commonalities are there?

How do people move towards active participation?

How can we guide others on the path?

What kinds of engagement are most effective in encouraging change?

I’d love to work with the members of ASP to discover even more about this.

In my spare (Spare?!) time, I have added skills in wildlife gardening and sewing to my bow, and I’m in the process of learning woodworking and a range of DIY skills (renovating a bathroom for my first practical project).

Ultimately my aim is to live a one-planet lifestyle (whatever that means), by being as self-sufficient as possible and generating the minimum necessary income through working for impact-driven organisations. Learning more about sustainability is key to achieving this dream, and working with other professionals in the field is exactly the right place to be!
