Hi, I’m Anna – a sustainability advocate and educator passionate about people, nature, and the power of community.

I’m currently transitioning into the sustainability sector after five years teaching secondary Geography in Brighton. During that time, I redesigned climate change units to focus on adaptation, mitigation, and systems thinking. This helped students connect with environmental issues through data, GIS, storytelling, and real-world case studies.

My mission now is to take the communication, facilitation, and project skills I’ve honed in education and apply them more broadly, to help communities and organisations understand and act on environmental challenges in accessible, grounded, and meaningful ways.

I bring a wide set of experiences from across sectors, fieldwork, environmental education, stakeholder engagement, sustainable food systems, wellbeing, and youth work. I’ve helped run farm-to-table programmes, maintained a biodiverse 3-acre garden, worked on one of Australia’s largest dairy farms (which sparked big sustainability debates!), and volunteered with grassroots food and youth initiatives in Ireland, Australia, and the UK.

Following a long personal journey with autoimmune illness, I’ve also come to truly appreciate the healing power of food, nature, and movement. This lived experience has strengthened my belief in sustainability as something deeply human and interconnected, not just about carbon, but about wellbeing, equity, and balance.

I currently volunteer with Stanmer Organics’ Food Belly Project, helping regenerate land into a productive garden, and previously supported Night Hoops in Perth, offering safe spaces and workshops for young people on Saturday nights.

At the heart of everything I do is a belief in collaboration, curiosity, and finding practical solutions that work for people and planet. I’m particularly inspired by the intersection of sustainability with creativity, community, and communication and am open to connecting with others working in those spaces.

Let’s make change that is rooted in feeling good, doing good, and inspiring people to join the movement.
