In conversation with Dr Victoria Hurth, co-author of Beyond Profit: Purpose-Driven Leadership for a Wellbeing Economy.
Victoria Hurth unpacks her new book in this interactive session with ASP. She’ll explain why this is a roadmap for all leaders, why without being skilled in purpose governance we have no chance of a sustainable future, but why with it we can leapfrog the mud that we’re stuck in.
Beyond Profit: Purpose-Driven Leadership for a Wellbeing Economy (by Hurth, Renshaw and Fioramonti) brings together a holistic and practical approach to show how leaders can create a Wellbeing Economy that is aligned with a sustainable future where we can move past the old systems that are dead, to innovate and protect collective long-term wellbeing through governance that works.

The Financial Times summarised: “This is an invitation to rethink what we value, and to govern accordingly โ a diagnosis of our economic malaise and a manifesto for a more sustainable future.”
Paul Polman, Author, Philanthropist, Activist, and former CEO of Unilever said: โHolistic and practical, ‘Beyond Profit’ reminds us that compassion, responsibility and ethics must power the engine of our economy, not stand on the sidelines. Because far from idealism, this is the only pragmatic path that makes economic, social and planetary sense. ‘Beyond Profit’ guides us to action โ for the benefit of all.โ
And, as our very own Gwyn Jones put it, “The book helps us to collectively see and name the systemic changes needed and how they can be adopted, now, to meet the existential challenges of our time. How to shift away from extraction, exploitation and individualism to an inspiring, thriving future based on wellbeing-centred, citizenship and community, in balance with nature. No quick fixes โ but long-term actions and outcomes designed to result in a good life for everyone forever.โ
