Save the date and join us for Responsible Futures FREE webinar: Why Net Zero Matters on 9th June at 11am.
Following the most recent IPCC report, it is scientifically proven that we are on a fast track to climate disaster. The science is clear. To keep to a 1.5-degree limit as agreed in Paris within reach, we need to reduce global emissions by 45% in the next 10 years.
The reality is that greenhouse gas emissions, which contribute to global warming, are at their greatest levels in human history.
The current climate pledges would mean a 14% increase in emissions, and most major emitters are not taking the necessary steps to fulfil these inadequate promises.
We must all have a Net Zero strategy. Want to understand more? Then start right here.
I’m looking forward to hearing the views of our expert panellists:
James Cannings Chief Sustainability Officer at MSQ and Co-chair of the Sustainability Council at BIMA (British Interactive Media Association)
Michelle Furtado BA Hons Mst Director of FuturEcoLogic
Ben Knight (MIEMA, CEnv) Head of Environmental Sustainability at GoCardless
Just some of the questions we will be asking are:
- What is Net Zero?
- How do we set a Net Zero target?
- What are science-based targets?
- When do we need to get to Net Zero by?
- Can we offset to get to Net Zero?
- Is carbon neutrality the same as Net Zero?
- What are carbon credits?
And so much more.
