Following the success of our first two Hope Tales events in London and Somerset, we have a third event planned for June 23 from 2-4pm in the Firstsite Gallery, Colchester, as part of Essex Book Festival. The aim is to bring thoughtful, active and joyful hope in troubled times.

Once again it will be a collaborative evening of performance sharing, with the content being made into a ‘chapbook” in the style of 17th-19th Century street publications. Both real and online books will be made.

We are delighted to share with you a series of Hope Tales for a positive future. Comprising of three pocket-sized ‘chapbooks’, the series will showcase street literature focusing on the themes of air, land and water.

Hope Tales is a collaboration between the Rapid Transition Alliance, the Centre for Public and Policy Engagement at the University of Essex and the New Weather Institute, using the power of story to investigate real hope for our future.
