ASP partners with Global Environment Media (GEM) to support their mission to utilize the power of positive narrative and science-based materials to tell stories of progress and innovation about our planet and those who inhabit it.
GEM is creating “GEM-TV.com”, a 24/7 live linear experience along with hundreds of Video on Demand “solution-oriented” videos covering nine key environmental Topics: Energy, Climate Change, People on Earth, Forests, The Ocean, Biodiversity, Food, Sustainable Living and Water. It will also include an education section rich with infographics, a library of academic papers, and a portal to courses around the globe dedicated to the environment, and a special learning section for kids.
GEM: using “good news” to inspire action that transforms our relationship with the planet so our children will live in harmony, safety and balance with ourselves and nature.
Christian Moore, the Managing Partner of GEM and president of the foundation, Global Environment Movement Association (GEMA):
“There is nothing more majestic and powerful than planet Earth. GEM embodies that mindset that people must fall in love with the natural world first in order to then be engaged and excited enough to save it. This was why we launched GEM as the first of its kind media network. We will combine fascinating content with reliable environmental information from trusted sources that are tackling the challenges we face.”
Vincent Roger, the Managing Partner GEM, and treasurer of GEMA:
“We believe in positivity and wanted to create a destination where people can explore stories of innovators who are impacting and shaping the world, as well as those working on a local level to impact their own community. We know that governments can only go so far and together, individuals, businesses and NGOs, can take action and catalyze the change needed to heal our planet.”
ASP’s purpose is to promote learning that transforms behaviour from unsustainable to sustainable practices. We face unprecedented, complex, global challenges that will need new thinking and approaches if we are to meet them within a relatively short period of time – 30 years, one generation.
This alliance with GEM will help to raise people’s awareness and consciousness and propel humanity to a new level of action. Every month we will be inviting people and organisations in our UK and global networks to submit positive content and peer-reviewed scientific papers for inclusion on GEM’s platforms.
