I have been working for Change Agents UK, a sustainability education Charity and not for profit recruitment organisation since 2015.
As the Sustainability Recruitment & Employability Manager I specialise in connecting talented and enthusiastic individuals with purposeful careers in sustainability.
Accessibility to relevant jobs and continued learning has the upmost importance for me, specifically trying to help break the cycle of ‘you need experience to get experience’. Skills can be taught and knowledge can be learnt, but passion is inherent. By recognising the synergies between people’s values and their existing skills, knowledge and experiences we can create meaningful partnerships with organisations that are committed to a sustainable future.
I played a crucial role in the formation of the Sustainability Leadership Skills Programme aimed at bridging the transition from education to the world of work. Through this I have witnessed how mentorship, networking and knowledge sharing can enhance the confidence and career progression of our Change Agents. This is part of the reason that I have joined ASP – I’m looking forward to being part of a network of like-minded sustainability professionals from whom I can learn, collaborate with and exchange ideas, perspectives, and experiences.
Outside of work, you’ll find me hiding from the continuous shout of my name from my children and husband by losing myself in the fictional world of books, in my garden, under a blanket or next to my dog!
