It was whilst I was sat in my car, in my old profession as a leader at a Mental Health charity, listening to my manager in crisis on the end of the phone. That I realised – to do the work we have to do to heal our imprint on nature…
…we also need to be able to care for ourselves better. I was working with amazing people but seeing the high rates of mental ill health and burn-out. I also noticed how so many of these people, had lost their true nature!
That’s when Where the Mind Grows came to life.
Now I work with people and teams – through the lens of regenerative leadership and ecopsychology, woven amongst more ‘traditional’ coaching modalities. I help create psychologically safe and trauma informed cultures, so teams can communicate compassionately and courageously in the face of change and complexity.
In 2023 I began leasing a private woodland near Ripon in Yorkshire. Now more people can rewild their mind, souls and workplace too.
Nature is my teammate, co-facilitator and mentor and I adopt a living systems and biomimicry approach in my business. (and life!) – I love how much we can learn from Nature!
I’ll find any excuse to help people re-connect with Nature. I love to work in collaboration and partnership with others for creative and wild solutions. Alongside being the Founder of Where the Mind Grows; I am co-founder of Think Like a Forest Regenerative Business Programmes and founded Wild Workspace a co-working pop-up event in nature, here in Yorkshire.
I am delighted to add the beautiful community as ASP to my ‘woodland’ of connections.
It’s no surprise my hobbies & joys include anything in the wild.
I live in Leeds and work across North, West Yorkshire and beyond.
