Hope Tales: “Air”. London, Wednesday December 7th, 19:00-21:00

The Art of Rapid Transition is piloting a series of four live events and three short sparky publications that will creatively explore hope under the title “HopeTales”.

It will be light touch, collaborative and fun – and we would like you to be part of it. The idea is for each invitee to bring something for the jar of hope that they have created, perhaps on a specific theme.

It might be music, spoken or written word, art, an idea – or something we haven’t thought of yet. From your contributions we will put together a “chapbook” – in the form of popular 18th and 19th century street literature – very small, easy to digest booklets of information, ideas and entertainment. Contributions that cannot go into print will be shared online.

The first date is in London at a great venue with real atmosphere:

Wednesday 7 December 7-9pm

At a secret, hidden, old fashioned Cinema, tucked away in Crystal Palace, just off the main triangle. Someone will be at the door to welcome you and the address is

Cooper’s Yard, Crystal Palace, London, SE19 1TN.

There will be a gentle theme of “Air” but all hopeful contributions will be welcomed.

Our next events will be in a Kent coastal town (with the loose theme of “Water”) and in rural/coastal Somerset (with the suggested theme of “Land”).

Please get in touch if you have any questions at all and please confirm asap if you are able to come. It would be good to know in advance who is planning to contribute what so we can plan the evening timewise. Short works best, so up to 250 words for written pieces and 3-5 mins for performance pieces.

Really looking forward to getting together soon.
