Growing Great IDEAS: Wednesday 26th January, 5pm Bournemouth UK

The last 18 months has shown us that our food system is a fragile thing – supply chains, limited access and rising costs are impacting the health of our community. The last 18 months has also shown us the incredible things we can do when we work together. Local food producers and growers have stepped up to make sure our neighbourhoods are fed: through veg boxes, food parcels, sharing the surplus from harvests, teaching growing skills and donating to community food initiatives. We want to build on this great work and explore what our food future could look like in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. With that in mind, we’re asking:

What is the role of local food and local food growers in creating a healthy, thriving Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole?

How do farms, allotment associations, unused land and private gardens play a part in the health and food resilience of our communities?

Join us for an evening of mapping, sharing and imagining the future of our food landscape in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Wednesday 26th January, 5pm – evening, with food provided
