A discussion between Jagdish Rattanani, Sudarshan Iyengar and Lisa Pearson, co-authors of “Abundant Love”, on the topic: Non-violence in a Violent World.
This Earth Conversation will feature a conversation and discussion on how and why the co-authors Jagdish Rattanani, Sudarshan Iyengar and Lisa Pearson use the long form conversation series first book ‘Abundant Love – conversations with Satish Kumar‘ to discuss the topic: “Non-violence in a Violent World” with students and businesses. These discussions are run as three to six hour workshops, with the book as background reading material.
We seek to open inquiries into questions like:
>> What really is violence?
>> What is manifest violence versus structural violence?
>> Why is violence rising?
>> Is modern-day business violent? and
>> How can we live a life of peace and non-violence?
We use stories from the life of Satish Kumar to bring alive some of the conversations in a journey that helps us take his thoughts, and ideas of Gandhian living, to a new set of audiences.
We seek to do similar workshops across the globe, notably in the UK over time — if the opportunity is given to us.
