It’s always hard to write a few words about my self, because I have so much to share.
So let me begin with my name is Doron P, and I am passionate about story telling, I have always been. This led me to become a poet, a performer, a spoken word artist, a tour guide who brings history and nature to life though storytelling, and finally a Documentary filmmaker.
Deciding to become a storyteller is not something that I chose, it was an emotional need to express myself after my father died when I was 15 years old. This place of pain spoke to the story teller inside of me. I wrote rap songs, poems, short stories and then to overcome my stage fright I performed as a rapper and singer, later on I became a tour-guide giving tours to international groups. Being a tour guide and performer taught me how to speak in front of a crowd and connect to my audience, being a writer taught me the structure of storytelling. After a few years as a tour guide, I decided to now master business school, there I learnt about brand story telling, how to connect the business aspect to storytelling,
Furthermore, I created a few ventures that didn’t really see the light of day. A year ago, I was sick and tried of being on stage and I wanted to step back and give others a platform, so I created Roses out of concrete, a Youtube channel in which I uploaded short documentaries of various artists. I was a one man production crew. I have over a decade of experience in storytelling, as writer, performer, tour-guide, furthermore, I have studied and was part of different communities, this taught me how to express myself in a way that speaks in the language of my target market.
Today after more then a decade, I have decided to take all my vast experience and teach others how to tell a great story, and how to stand in front of a crowd, mainly social impact leaders who really can make a positive impact on the world through the stories they tell. I call my new venture Dodo Reborn. I am looking forward to meeting you all.
