I have spent 14 years working in cardiology for Boston Scientific, a medical device company with a global footprint.
It is abundantly clear that there is an intrinsic link between patient health and planetary health, and healthcare provision itself also has a significant impact, contributing up to 5% of global emissions, not to mention an alarming volume of waste.
I have recently transitioned to Sustainability lead for Boston Scientific EMEA as we focus on reducing our negative impact, while partnering with healthcare providers to support their journey towards sustainable healthcare provision.
I would welcome the opportunity to learn from sustainability practitioners, particularly in the healthcare space, and also share my experience and learnings.
