I am looking for ASP members who might be interested in contributing to my MSc research project and want to capture ASP members’ experiences and thoughts as sustainability practitioners via online interviews. In brief, the interviews (which are intended to be more like conversations) are about an hour long via MS Teams. We would talk about your journey as a sustainability practitioner, the challenges you have faced in your work and how these have affected you, the role of networks and communities of support in developing and sustaining your practice, and your thoughts and feelings on the present state of the world and the possibilities (hopeful or otherwise) for its futures.

I have no special subgroups in mind, just anyone from the ASP community who might share an interest in the topic would like to take part.

I would like to start interviewing as soon as I can and to conclude this phase of the project by the end of June.

My work is supervised within the Geography department at Birkbeck, University of London, and has received ethical approval. Your input would be anonymous for the purpose of the research. I will ensure that the final dissertation is made available to participants when marking and moderation has been completed in the autumn.

ASP is very interested in this work both in its own right and also in its potential to provide valuable input into the future development and direction of the ASP community. Consequently ASP supports this work fully and has asked me to host an event to share and discuss my  findings at the end of the project.

If you are interested in taking part please drop me a line and I can let you know more. You can also read more about me on the ASP bio page.

You can reach me at [email protected] and at [email protected]

Many thanks!

Andrew Flynn
