ASP – Association of Sustainability Practitioners

Archie Ezekiel

Hi, I’m Archie, a Canadian living in the Spanish countryside with my family, where we operate a regenerative/permaculture farm.

Six years ago, we chose to build a more self-sufficient and regenerative way of life, an experience that continues to shape my work and perspective.

I am the creator of Regenerative Instructional Design (RID), an emerging competency-based instructional design framework focused on developing practical capability through authentic learning experiences.

RID integrates instructional design, systems thinking, regenerative principles, experiential learning, and evidence-informed educational practice to explore how learning design can better support sustainability education and the development of practical competence.

My work focuses on developing and refining the RID framework, contributing to sustainability education, and exploring how regenerative thinking can improve the way learning is designed across education, industry, and community settings.

My long-term goal is to contribute to the ongoing development of RID as a professional field through research, practical application, collaboration, and continuous refinement.

If you’re interested in Regenerative Instructional Design (RID), sustainability education, or the future of learning, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas.
