I have a track record of creating successful small businesses with big impact, and now share my knowledge and experience as a trainer, consultant, and facilitator with clients in the UK and abroad.
I lived and worked in China for 25 years where I established several businesses and organisations, including one of the “Top Ten Bookshops in the World” and China’s largest Literary Festival, a theatre company, an international choir, an outdoor management training company and a leadership training organisation.
Director of The Yurt Academy, I am also a Senior Lecturer at the Business School of the University of Sussex where I specialise in Managing Projects and Technologies as well as Leadership.
During Covid, I wrote a small book: Curious Creative Connected – Engaging Human Intelligence in a Tech-driven world. I continue to explore how to nurture and encourage curiosity in all learning, thinking and being.
Accredited as a Carbon Literacy Trainer by the UN PRME Carbon Literacy Project, a Climate Fresk facilitator and a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRAB) facilitator, I lead sessions on climate awareness and action both at the university and in the community.
