My values and knowledge of sustainability continue to influence my role in helping support business to become carbon neutral.“
My sustainability journey started off around 4-5 years ago when I decided to quit the meat and go veggie. I was amazed by how easy this actually was. From here my personal life became devoted to learning, growing and researching just about everything in my life as to whether it was a sustainable decision or choice or not.
Whilst I knew my personal journey to sustainability was concrete I knew I could do more. I decided to raise my my little boy as vegetarian and continuously teach him the negative effects of our behaviours on a level of his cognitive understanding.
I later studied a masters in Marketing where I developed a thesis on sustainable consumer behaviours and closely analysed consumer shopping habits and their knowledge of what packaging materials are sustainable.
I now work with West Lothian Chamber of Commerce as a marketing and engagement manager focusing on the environment, enterprise and community where my inherent values and knowledge of sustainability continue to influence my role in helping support business to become carbon neutral.
I look forward to my journey with ASP and hope to give back as much as I receive from being a member.
